Chocolate in its natural form is a true superfood. It is packed with antioxidants, magnesium and important trace elements that supply your body with long lasting energy. In former days the cacao fruit used to be so valuable that South American tribes used the bean as currency. The little bean has much more in store than we think: It is also known as the secret of longevity. Xocolatl, a traditional chocolate drink made from raw cacao, water, sugar and spices such as cinnamon, vanilla and chili is not only tasty but a life elixir that is part of peoples daily life in the rain forest.
Time to forget about guilt and eat up all the amazing benefits:
The theobromine naturally found in raw cacao is a mild, non-addictive stimulant that some believe can treat depression
The essential fatty acids found in chocolate may help the body to raise good cholesterol and lower bad cholesterol
The high antioxidant activity helps protect the heart, prevent cellular damage, and keeps us looking – and feeling – younger!
Cacao is also a great source of magnesium, which helps with calcium absorption, metabolism, and protein synthesis. It may also be useful in the prevention of or treatment for congestive heart failure, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, diabetes, and premenstrual syndrome.
Cacao also contains iron, copper, calcium, potassium, and zinc.
Raw chocolate makes you feel vibrant, energetic and suuuuuper happy.
To me, cacao is more than just food. It is medicine, a great teacher and soulfood that helps me connect with the heart. Cacao is a tool for me to live my creativity. And more than that, it has taught me to truly indulge in life without regrets.
Every single one of my chocolate creations is plant-based & vegan (or even raw vegan) and does not contain any dairy products, refined sugar, preservatives or manufactured cacao beans. Really raw food ingredients such as coconut blossom sugar from Bali, virgin coconut oil, vanilla bean from madagascar and much love make every bite a true taste experience of what nature really has to offer.
Imagine someone told you that there’s a young lady in Vienna who’s inspiring people to put on those glamorous Yoga pants we all got sittin’ there in the back of our closets to get our blood pumpin’ on the mat and feel great about it. Now imagine someone told you that said lady is dancing around in her kitchen at night creating decadent raw vegan chocolaty desserts and pralines.(…) If you’re looking for a young, creative Yogi leading both thoughtful + challenging classes and whipping up awesome stuff that will make love to your tummy, well, search no more.
